Designed | Curated Interiors ("we," "our," "us," or the "Studio") is a sole-proprietor interior design studio based in Sacramento, California, owned and operated by Amy Kunst. We are committed to protecting the privacy and security of personal information belonging to our clients, prospective clients, website visitors, and anyone who interacts with our services.
This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, process, store, and protect personal information obtained through our website at www.designedcurated.com, as well as through any associated communications and professional engagements. This Policy is intended to comply with the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act of 2020 (collectively, "CCPA/CPRA"), and other applicable United States privacy laws.

2.1 Information You Provide
When you contact us, request a consultation, or engage our services, we may collect: your name, email address, telephone number, the city or neighborhood where your project is located, and details pertaining to your design project including the property type, scope of work, design preferences, timeline, and budget range. If a project moves forward to a signed engagement, we may also collect billing information (handled by our payment processor under PCI DSS standards) and project documentation such as floor plans, photographs of the existing space, and selection approvals.
2.2 Automatically Collected Information
When you visit our Website, we automatically collect: IP address, browser type, operating system, device type, pages visited, date and time of visit, referring URL, and click-stream data. This information is collected through server logs, cookies, and similar technologies, and is used to operate the site, diagnose technical issues, and protect against abuse.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information you provide to:
- Respond to your inquiry and schedule an initial design consultation
- Prepare a project proposal, estimate, or scope-of-work document
- Communicate with you about the design and execution of a signed project
- Process invoices and payments under a signed project agreement
- Coordinate with project vendors, fabricators, contractors, and installers who are part of your project
- Operate, secure, and improve our Website
- Comply with legal, tax, and recordkeeping obligations
4. We Do Not Share Your Data
Designed | Curated Interiors does not sell, share, rent, lease, or trade client data for marketing or advertising purposes, ever. Specifically, we do not:
- Sell your personal information to any third party
- Share your contact details with advertisers, data brokers, or marketing companies
- Disclose your project details, photographs, or correspondence to other clients
- Provide your information to artificial intelligence model providers for training purposes
- Trade or exchange your information with other design firms or referral networks
The only exceptions to this rule are the following limited and necessary disclosures:
- Payment processing. When you pay an invoice, payment information is transmitted directly to our payment processor under PCI DSS standards. We do not store payment card numbers.
- Website hosting and email. Our hosting and email providers operate the servers that store our Website and inbox data under standard provider data-processing terms.
- Project execution. When a project is under a signed agreement, we may share strictly project-relevant information (such as room dimensions, finish selections, or installation logistics) with the vendors, fabricators, contractors, and installers retained for your project. We do not share your contact information with these parties for any purpose unrelated to executing your project.
- Legal obligation. We may disclose information when required to do so by law, court order, valid legal process, or in good faith to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.
5. Cookies
We use essential cookies for Website operation, analytics cookies to understand usage patterns and improve content, and functionality cookies to remember your preferences. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect Website functionality but the site will continue to load.
6. Data Retention
We retain client project records for a minimum of four (4) years following the conclusion of a project, consistent with our records, tax, and warranty obligations. Inquiries that do not result in an engagement are retained only for the time we reasonably need to respond and then archived or deleted. Website analytics data is retained for twenty-six (26) months. Server logs are retained for ninety (90) days for security and troubleshooting.
7. Your Rights Under California Law
If you are a California resident, you have the following rights under the CCPA and CPRA regarding your personal information:
- The right to know what categories of personal information we have collected about you, the sources of that information, the purposes for collecting it, and the categories of third parties with whom we have shared it.
- The right to request a copy of the specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you in the prior twelve (12) months.
- The right to request that we delete personal information we have collected from you, subject to limited exceptions for legal, tax, and warranty recordkeeping.
- The right to request that we correct inaccurate personal information.
- The right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. As stated above, we do not sell or share your personal information.
- The right not to receive discriminatory treatment for exercising any of these rights.

8. Security
We implement encryption in transit (TLS/SSL), administrative access controls, and account-level authentication on the systems we use. We use commercially reasonable measures to protect your information. No method of internet transmission or electronic storage, however, can be guaranteed to be one hundred percent secure.
9. Children's Privacy
Our services are not directed to children under the age of thirteen (13), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child, we will delete it promptly.
